Marlux Medical Curtains (4.2m) come with built-in Microban technology for added protection. Microban is the global leader in built-in antibacterial product protection, engineering durable antibacterial solutions for consumer, industrial and medical products around the world.
This Microban technology provides an additional level of protection against bacterial growth and serves to underpin existing hygiene measures within healthcare facilities.
Marlux has a manufacturing and storage facility in the UK and follows a rigorous batch testing regime to ensure the health and safety of patients. Marlux curtains have a standard height of 1.95m and are available in 7 standard colours:
- Manufactured from high quality, durable and recyclable non-woven polypropylene fabric and incorporating an eyelet design for easy loading to existing glider hooks
- Microban 3G Silver antibacterial technology built-in at the point of manufacture to provide a valuable and effective tool to aid in the fight in infection control.
- Four standard widths are available: 7.2m, 4.2m, 3.6m and 1.8m
- Curtains have a 1.95m standard drop
- 7 standard stock colours are available.
- Ideal as a backup product for emergency infection outbreaks
- Marlux curtains are lightweight, to aid health and safety requirements
- Unique anti-peel label with date last changed
- Fire retardant to BS 5867-2: 2008 type C

Date Recording Label
Marlux curtains come with a date recording label to help provide a visual reminder of when the curtain needs to be changed. The Care Quality Commission guidance stipulates that disposable privacy curtains should be changed at least once every 6 months. The guidance from both the Infection Control Nurses Association and the National Patient Safety Agency reiterate the same responsibility.
